16 Monday Fast Starts || THIRD CHAPTER ||
Even after becoming a king, the Brahmin-son duly kept the fast on sixteen Mondays. Once on the seventeenth Monday, when that Brahmin-son Raja was to do udyapan of fast, he asked his wife to reach the temple of Shiva with the worship-materials. God Shiva became displeased with this disregard of the queen. Then there was a voice in the temple- "Rajan! Your queen has disrespected the sixteen Monday fast. Take her out of her palace immediately, otherwise you will be destroyed."
Hearing the broadcasting, the king got scared .He immediately reached the palace and ordered his soldiers to take the queen captive and leave it in a distant city.
