There was a Moneylender. He had seven sons and a daughter. All eight siblings used to take food together. Sister kept fast of karwaa chauth on fourth day of waning moon in kaartik month with her all sisters-in-law. When her seven brothers came for dinner,they called sister for food, then mother said-She couldn’t eat now, beacuase she kept fast of karwa chauth. She take food after offering water to moon . Brothers did not keep patience to see their sister hungry. They made a plan. They went forest and set fire.One brother stand on banyan tree with stanner and lamp in his hand.Brohers came to his sister and said-“Come sister, Moon rises. Lets offer water to moon”She asked to her sisters-in-law – “Moon raised, sister-in-laws.” Then her sisters-in-law said – “This is your moon, Ours will rises at night.” Sister believd to see lamp besides the stanner that moon may be raised behind tree.
