इसके बाद राजा ने पड़ोसन को दण्ड दिया। इतना करने के बाद राजा के महल से गंदगी दूर हो गई। उसी दिन राज्य में घोषणा कराई कि सभी स्त्री-पुरुष रविवार का व्रत किया करें। रविवार का व्रत करने से सभी लोगों के घर धन-धान्य से भर गए। चारों ओर खुशहाली छा गई। सभी लोगों के शारीरिक कष्ट दूर हो गए।
