Offer jiggery, curd, bhat (rice) and kheer as naivedya and feed these substances to Brahmins. Do circumbulation .After listening to the story of Wednesday, pray for Buddhadev.
In this way, by observing this fast for seven Wednesdays, all the defects and troubles caused by Mercury planet are removed and full happiness, good luck, longevity and wisdom are attained.By observing the fast till 27 Wednesdays, the sins of the birth-born are destroyed and attained to heaven.
Now I tell you the story of the devotee who had follow this fast foremost on earth. In ancient times, a king was ruling in Mithilpuri. His enemies marched on his kingdom after consulting each other, and then a terrible war took place. In this war, Maharaja Nimi attained heroism and his enemies won and subjugated his kingdom. Urmila was the queen of Maharaja Nimi.
